Ok then, here goes:
Name: Arty ‘Red’ Macalister
Super Hero Name: Firefly
Gender: Male
Age: 12. His date of birth is 24th August 1999
Family: Jess Macalister (Mother), James Macalister (Father)
Power: Insect-like wings. They can only really be used for hovering and for quick dodging movements at the moment. Light Manipulation. It appears as a bright blue colour, as blue is more easily refracted and therefore manipulated. It can be used in basic as flashes to blind/disorientate enemies, and as more concentrated beams shot from his hands that are of extreme heat. The smaller it is, the more heat it carries, so it is harder for him to create this stronger light, taking a lot of his energy.
Can you control it: More and more, but it is still quite hit and miss right now, and when he gets very excited, he can sometimes begin to glow. He can't fly yet, which is something he would one day love to do.
How long have you had them: His whole life
How did you get them: Inherited the X-Gene from both of his parents, who were also mutants.
History: In 1998 Jess Macalister, lead singer of Scottish rock band 'Starshock!', finally got together with life-long friend and fellow band member James. Before long, they had a son, who they quickly discovered was a mutant, like them. They decided that when the time was right, they’d sent him to the Xavier institute in America, so that he could learn to use his powers better than they had.
He grew up around the band, always on the move with their tours, and learning their instruments with surprising ease. The rest of the group all helped to raise him, acting like surrogate uncles. The bassist, Steve, gave him the nickname Red after his mop of unruly ginger hair, and it quickly stuck.
Red recently arrived at the institute, and is still struggling to get his head around it. He took to the institute quite slowly at first, but is starting to love it. He returns home to his family every holiday.
Appearance: He has his mother's bright ginger hair and green eyes, but has (as his mother always tells him) his father's nose. He has a very young boyish face, which does well to hide his maturity and intelligence. He's of a light and nimble build with a distinct lack of visible muscles, despite the amount of time he spends carrying the equipment for the band. Height-wise, he's around 4' 11" making him quite small, but that does allow for him to move quickly and unnoticed. When using his powers, his eyes glow yellow. His wings are like an insect’s- thin and transparent. This means they can easily be concealed under clothing
Personality: Though never properly diagnosed, Red shares a lot of symptoms with those who have Asperger's Syndrome. He is incredibly smart, but struggles to understand what people mean when they talk. For example, he doesn't really get jokes and takes sarcasm and turns-of-phrase very literally. He has set routines for things, which he doesn't like changed, and he does struggle in conversations. He does obsess over certain things- mostly on bands and music, but also on Star Trek, which his Dad got him into. Despite this, Red is often very optimistic and cheery, and normally takes his problems in his stride. He is very caring and compassionate, even if the way he talks to people is often very blunt.
Talents: Very talented with musical instruments, due to his upbringing with the band – he can play guitar and piano very well, and knows a little bit of bass and drumming. He is very smart, and has an almost photographic memory, only sometimes in learning new things he can forget older things – sometimes important things.
Weaknesses: Extreme Loyalty. He is fiercely loyal to friends and family, and takes any bad word to them as personal offences. Because he doesn't always understand what people mean by what they say, this has often nearly led to fights. His personality traits are also somewhat of a weakness to him.
